My name is Sahapan Vichathai. I study medical fungal microbiology, with a focus on drug repurposing for challenging pathogenic fungi. My research combines molecular techniques to identify potential drug targets with existing approved drugs, followed by laboratory validation through fungal culturing and experimental assays. Alongside my experimental work, I am exploring digital tools and AI-assisted approaches for literature review, data gathering, and drug-target identification, with the goal of making the research process more efficient and insightful. Outside the lab, I enjoy cycling and reading creative works.
